....and enter Cabrera.

Part of the reason it's crowded. I'm not too high on that signing, but he's your starting SS, no doubt. I think Janish would have been OK, and I'd like to see how he'd develop, but Cabrera's there to play every day (160 games last year).

Janish is not going to develop, the guy is 27 and is a marginal big leaguer. The Cabrera signing is a great move, not as great as getting rid of Tavares, but the guy is an adequate defender and an above average hitter. The contract is reasonable and if the Reds fail you flip him at the deadline for a prospect or two.

The Orioles just signed Will Ohman to be their left handed specialist out of the bullpen. He pitched 6.2 innings last year against lefties and gave up 4HR to them. With signings like this 75 wins is definitley in play.

Good luck with that. He was supposed to be a decent prospect with the Cubs, and never really got much of a shot because of injuries. I think he had TJ surgery pretty early on in his career, but I might be thinking of someone else. With all the lefties in that division, if they're counting on him as their situational guy, 100 losses could be in play.

Here is a map of Blackout rules of MLB.tv and extra innings. It is amazing how far MLB thinks fans have to drive to a game. Hell Seattle fans are blacked out half way across the country.

While the state of California is reserved to northern and southern, for the most part. Since Indy is in pink and there are no teams that are does that mean we'll never be blacked out? Also, am I correct in assuming that they think we should only get Reds, Cubs and Sox games?

Ok, gotcha. I was confused there. That's still stupid they would be blacked out here since we aren't even in the same state! |

Basically, they black out MLB.tv in areas where a "local" network would carry a game, so as not to take advertising away from the local affiliate. For example, FSN-Indiana carries 100 or so Reds games a year, so the Reds are blacked out here because they're on a "local" station.

Now, why Comcast in Indianapolis refuses to carry COMCAST Sports Network is another discussion.

I'd be more concerned with the horrifying outing Harang turned in.

5 IP, 5 H, 3 ER for a guy who wouldn't be the #1 on most teams? That doesn't bother me (or surprise me) too much.
